200. Assertive, Youthful and Optimistic

cloud, Kibbutz Hanita
Finding shapes in the clouds is a game played by children - while looking for hearts in the clouds is a game played by the optimistic and youthful.
Yifat is one of the most naturally radiant women I have met, both inside and out.
I love that Yifat asked me to post this heart she found - this demonstrates the assertiveness of a woman who can be both youthful and optimistic - now run with the wolves, baby!

199. Renaissance: A New Beginning

detail on gate, Tel Aviv
Itzik taught me that when we say the word coincidence backwards in Hebrew it spells out God sewed; in other words God intended it to be.
This morning I coincidenlty passed this gate which I used as my first heart on this blog. Having photographed it again with a higher resolution, the visibility of this open heart has improved.
As the new year begins, I am clearly reminded to keep an open heart!

hands (sign language), Cafe Kapish, Nalaga'at Center, Jaffa
This evening my father and I had a profoundly eye opening experience at Cafe Kapish, which is completely run by deaf and hearing-impaired waiters.
Using body language, lip reading, and writing on an eraseable board, I communicated the levavot concept with our very sweet waiter, Omer, and asked him how one would sign "heart" - this sign is certainly understandable to all!

185. Equality, Love, Patience

street art on trash can, Kiryat HaYovel, Jerusalem
Naomi wrote me on August 19 letting me know about hearts which appeared 2.5 years ago throughout the city reacting to the anti-gay protests following the prospective pride march in Jerusalem. I asked if she could photograph them and send them to me. Last night, I received pictures from her, and today an image with hearts comes to you.
The image reads: "Mommy, I am afraid...Equality, Love, Patience"
This image was slow to come here, but with communication, patience and determination it eventually made its way to Levavot.
